Ben Okri: Lines in Potentis

I love words.

I love words because they carry meaning.

Meaning is as much about detatched and conceptual responses as emotional ones.

Here, the Booker prize winning writer Ben Okri brilliantly evokes London in his Lines in Potentis. Here, London is a home for a diverse and humane genius with a hope for the future. As Okri puts it, “Tell everyone that the future is yet unmade“.

‘Lines in Potentis’ was commisssioned for the London Assembly/Greater London Authority building, City Hall.

‘Lines in Potentis’ is uplifting, thoughtful, incisive and brilliant.   This version has Okri intoning his verse over visuals realised by Yeast Culture.
