The weekend of 1 and 2 October saw the inaugural Catford Literary Festival. I missed events on the first day, but I was part of the second day where I chaired two panel discussions and met many lovely people.
The Catford Literary Festival was set up by Natasha Clarkson of the Abbottshall Healthy Lifestyle Centre and the team at Lewisham Ledger, one of South East London’s independent newspapers, with support from St Dunstan’s, an independent school based in Catford.
Over two days, an exciting programme of discussion and readings took place covering a broad range of topics exploring the arts, culture and food of south east London. The breadth and range defied anything I have seen elsewhere, truly.
I do hope it takes place again.
