Pinterest, for those not in the know, is a new social network. Pinterest’s USP is it’s visual basis; it’s all about images, video and sharing. I’m a member of Pinterest, unsuprisingly. It intrigued me to see the differences in the Pinterest audience between different territories, the UK and USA.
The UK audience, considerably smaller than the US audience, is not only wealthier but also educated to a higher degree and largely male. The interests registered also vary, spanning social media, web analytics, SEO and venture capital – I suspect this may be largely to do with Pinterest’s recent arrival on these shores and the early adopter’s profile so is likely to be a changing picture.
