How we use mobile phones

Mobile phones are everywhere, I have three for some strange reason. The first practical mobile phone was produced by Motorola in 1973 and cost about a million US dollars to produce. The costs of producing and distributing mobile phones and provided connectivity have mercifully dropped since then, hence the ubiquity that we have today. Though using data from the USA, the infographic below is fairly typical of UK usage patterns.  This is how we use mobile phones:
